Known for his meticulous approach and knack for simplifying complex dental care, Dr. Jack Balasis has spent years helping patients achieve healthier smiles through modern, preventive dentistry. His belief that oral care should feel effortless, not like a chore, became the spark behind Glissi’s creation.

With a strong background in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Waleed Arshad has always sought to merge clinical expertise with everyday practicality. Passionate about patient experience, he envisioned a solution that makes consistent flossing easy, effective, and even enjoyable.

Dentists Dr. Waleed and Dr. Jack faced the ultimate professional irony, preaching daily flossing while secretly dreading it themselves.

"Nothing kills your credibility quite like having spinach in your teeth during a lecture on oral hygiene," jokes Dr. Jack.

Fed up with finger contortions and bathroom mirror acrobatics, they embarked on a mission: create a flossing solution so simple you'd have no excuse to skip it. After rejecting water flossers ("All splash, not enough cleaning," as Dr. Jack puts it) and several prototype disasters, their eureka moment struck, electric toothbrushes revolutionized brushing, so why not do the same for flossing?

The result is Glissi, finally making "I floss daily" less of a white lie at your next dental checkup.

As Dr. Waleed quips, We created Glissi because even dentists deserve to have a social life instead of spending 10 minutes with their fingers in their mouth every night."
